Chances are, you’re here because you’ve heard about this Nano-enhanced Hemp Oil and want to learn more. I’m currently studying Clinical Cannabidiol Applications, and am very passionate about what this incredible plant can do for us. There are so many misconceptions around it, and one of my goals is to help educate others and clear those misconceptions.

For the past decade, I’ve made sure I’ve been at the forefront of taking care of my health and well-being. I’ve become attuned to what my body needs, and recently, I discovered that Hemp oil is a superfood supplement that has a wide range of balancing effects on the body. My quest to find the best Hemp Oil on the market has led me to form various partnerships with different companies.

I’ve tried and compared the gamut, and for a while took a supplement from Elixinol, as well as a collection of other really awesome and high quality CBD products I found here. I had done the comparisons, and the price point for quality of this product seemed very reasonable. As a disclaimer, please note that I do not diagnose or claim to medically treat or heal anyone with this supplement. If you’re interested in reading more third party research, this has been one of the most comprehensive links I can find on the benefits of Cannabidiol rich Hemp Oil.) Please also note that “CBD” is a US Patent 06630507 as antioxidants and neuroprotectants, and so I therefore refer to this supplement as Phyto Cannabidiol rich Hemp Oil.

I recently discovered a Hemp oil that was revolutionizing the industry. A nanotechnology Hemp oil with a liposomal delivery system, that consistently tested 97%-100% bioavailability in the body, compared to 10-30% bioavailability of other leading brands.

So what is Nano Enhanced Hemp Oil?

It is first important to understand “Cannabidiol” is commonly abbreviated as CBD (which is patented by the US Government). This refers to one of the predominant chemicals in the trichomes (resin glands) of (in this case) Industrial Hemp. Cannabidiol belongs to a group of compounds called cannabinoids. This plant is known to have over 85 cannabinoids.

CBD is one of more than 80 active cannabinoid chemicals in the hemp plant. Unlike the main psychoactive cannabinoid in medical marijuana, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD does not produce euphoria or intoxication. Cannabinoids have their effect mainly by interacting with specific receptors on cells in the brain and body: the CB1 receptor, found on neurons and glial cells in various parts of the brain, and the CB2 receptor, found mainly in the body’s immune system.

The euphoric effects of THC are caused by its activation of CB1 receptors. CBD has a very low affinity for these receptors (100 fold less than THC) and when it binds it produces little to no effect. There is also growing evidence that CBD acts on other brain signaling systems, and that these actions may be important contributors to its therapeutic effects.

What’s so special about this Hemp Oil?

The science behind why this particular Hemp Extract is proving to be so effective is first based on the Human Endocannabinoid System. This elaborate network is part of our immune system and when it is activated by taking phyto cannabinoid diols, humans (and animals) have better ability to fight, resist, and assist in repairing the mind and body.

The endocannabinoid system also includes the “cannabinoid receptors” or CB receptors that they bind to. There are two major types of cannabinoid receptors in our bodies: CB1 and CB2. Activation of the extracellular portion of these receptors causes conformational change and initiates intracellular biochemical reactions. The vast number of cannabinoid receptors and their prevalence throughout the body suggests a multitude of promising therapeutic targets.

CB1 Receptors

The CB1 receptors are primarily located on nerve cells in the brain, spinal cord, but they are also found in some peripheral organs and tissues such as the spleen, white blood cells, endocrine gland and parts of the reproductive, gastrointestinal and urinary tracts.

In the brain, the CB1 receptors are abundant in the cerebellum, basal ganglia, hippocampus and dorsal primary afferent spinal cord regions, which is why cannabinoids influence functions such as memory processing, pain regulation and motor control.

CB2 Receptors

The CB2 receptors are mainly found on white blood cells, in the tonsils and in the spleen. The immune cells also express CB1, although there are fewer of them than CB2. In the immune system, one important function of the cannabinoid receptors is the regulation of cytokine release. Studies suggest that CB2 modulate the pain sensation and could play a role in various diseases, from liver and kidney problems to neurodegenerative diseases.

Can you tell me some facts about this oil?

Q: What part of the hemp plant is used?

Our Hemp Oil uses all parts of the hemp plant to produce its hemp oil. Is it essentially a full hemp plant extract with most synergistic components left intact. When we say “whole plant” we are referring to the variety of constituents (more than 500 trace compounds) in the hemp oil itself. This oil contains phytocannabinoids, and other natural plant constituents (terpenes, sugars, flavonoids, secondary cannabinoids, etc.) that are found in all parts of hemp. It is extracted from an organic, non-GMO heirloom industrial hemp strain that has one of the highest concentrations of Cannabidiol of all other hemp strains (as found by our world renowned scientist).

Q: What is Nano liposomal delivery?
The formation of this extract produces particle sizes below 100nm, which some people would call nanotechnology, because of the particle size. The lipid particles in this product are very similar to particles the body makes, called chylomicrons, which move triglycerides. These natural particles are in the 50-200nm size ranges. Liposomal delivery provides improved systemic and cellular absorption of nutrients (they have an intraoral and lymphatic absorption, impacting systemic circulation), and do not have to go through the gastrointestinal tract.

Q: How is this hemp oil processed?
Through a supercritical (high pressure) CO2 extraction process, which uses carbon dioxide under high pressure and extremely low temperatures to isolate, preserve, and maintain the purity of the oil. This process requires expensive equipment and a steep operational learning curve. The end product is safe, pure, and potent. The Hemp oil obtained through supercritical extraction is a full spectrum cannabinoid rich product. The purity of this oil is unmatched as it is engineered at the same level as high-grade pharmaceuticals.

Q. What other extraction methods are out there?
Ethanol. High grade grain alcohol can be used to create high quality cannabis oil appropriate for vape pen cartridges and other products. But this extraction method destroys the plant waxes, which may have health benefits.
• Olive oil. Extra virgin or otherwise, olive oil can also be used to extract cannabis oil. Olive oil can be an alternative, but again it has its drawbacks. The good part about extracting the cannabinoids with olive oil is that the technique is very simple and only requires heating up the oil up to 200°F and filtering the extract. The bad part is that this extract cannot be concentrated, so although it does contain CBD, to see significant health effects one needs to consume copious amounts of this oil.
Rick Simpson Method: One popular extraction method for extracting CBD oil is the Rick Simpson technique, which uses petroleum or naphtha as solvents. This method, although efficient in extracting the active compounds from the cannabis plant (mostly done with marijuana plants), usually leads to products that have a lower concentration of terpenes and other cannabinoids such as CBD, while effectively yielding higher concentrations of THC. It’s therefore not the best choice if you’re looking to obtain a CBD-rich oil, not to mention it’s also considered unsafe due
to the residues that may remain from the solvents and potentially interfere with one’s immune function.
Cold Pressing for Hemp Seed Oil: Hemp seed oil is rich in nutrients and is a good addition to any diet, but only contains very tiny amounts of cannabinoids, as it is made from just the seeds of the plant. This oil is obtained by simply pressing or grinding the seeds at a temperature that’s lower than 120°F, and it retains its nutritional value and flavor. However, cold pressing is a good technique for obtaining hemp seed oil, but is not useful for CBD oil production.

Q: What gets taken out in the extraction process?

1. Terpenoids: Some remain and some are lost. 2. Other cannabinoids: What remains is a natural spread of plant cannabinoids. The oil is purified to remove any contaminants.

Q. Are there any microbial count/bacteria/microbes?
Microbe counts are all nil in the incoming material and the same on the outgoing – each batch of outgoing is tested for metals and microbes. You can find a Lab Certificate of Analysis on the website.

Q. Are all the synergistic compounds left intact?
Most of them, with no change in molecular structure.

Q. What is the purpose of phosphatidylcoline in the ingredient list?
It is the emulsifier used to stabilize the small oil droplets and it is highly beneficial nutrient that is a choline source and beneficial for cell membrane, liver, and brain function.

Q. How is this oil ingested?
Sublingual (under the tongue). By embedding our Hemp oil in liposomes, it creates a safe, natural barrier between your tongue and those bitter tasting nutrients, making our Nanoenhanced Hemp Oil easier to consume for those who are palate sensitive, especially kids.

Q. What does bioavailability entail?
When a drug is given intravenously, the bioavailability is 100%, because it gets past barriers such as the intestinal wall, as well as liver metabolism. When a medicine is taken orally, it may not be absorbed through the intestines because of insufficient time. Being highly water soluble or not dissolving enough are two reasons why a drug may take longer to be absorbed. Poor digestion, binding to other substances and use by the intestinal bacteria are other reasons why it may not be absorbed. After a nutrient, medicine or something else is absorbed into the bloodstream, it passes through the liver. In the liver, a portion of an absorbed substance is changed, which makes the affected substance more water soluble. This is to prepare it for the next time it enters the liver, where it is readied for excretion.

Q. What is the benefit of sublingual bioavailability?
Sublingual administration of medicines is when it is designed for absorption under the tongue, not in the stomach and intestines like food. As this also means direct transfer into the blood, it avoids issues relating to the intestinal barrier. These include inability to be absorbed, interaction with other nutrients or drugs, or use by normal intestinal bacteria. It also avoids being directly shuttled to the liver and
resulting changes to its structure. CBD is vulnerable to issues that can affect intestinal absorption, as well as being processed by the liver, therefore sublingual bioavailability is a superior method of supplementation.

Q. What does 97-100% bioavailability entail?
A small study was undertaken in 2003 to find any differences in the bioavailability of CBD and THC when taken in different ways. The dosage methods tested were oral, oro-pharyngeal (throat), buccal (inside of the cheek) and sublingual. When CBD was taken sublingually, the half-life was 86 minutes, while oral use had a half-life of 65 minutes. The term “half-life” means the time taken for half of the tested substance to be removed from the body.

Another measure of bioavailability, known as “area under the curve” (AUC), also showed a superior score for sublingual CBD. The two AUC scores for sublingual use were 408.53 and 427.33. However, the scores for oral use were 345.68 and 362.04. The AUC measurement shows the total exposure of the body to a medicine once it is given. Therefore, a higher AUC can mean a greater potential to be effective.

Liposomal delivery brings the power of intravenous therapy into convenient oral delivery. Typical absorption of Cannabidiol oil is poor, with only about 10% uptake in the GI tract. Liposomal encapsulation of compounds similar to Cannabidiol have been shown to increase absorption five-to tenfold. Our pharmaceutical-grade LIPOSOMAL Cannabidiol outperforms other products thanks to smaller, more stable, single-layer spheres made from the highest-grade ingredients available.

PMB Hemp derived CBD Oil is the only company that can say it tests 97-100% bioavailable, in side by side lab tests to other leading brands, which test 10-30% bioavailability. In an independent third party test against cannabinoid uptake, this hemp oil was absorbed in the blood in amounts three times as great at half the dose of the leading pharma brand. In fact, phospholipid therapy, using both injectable forms and oral forms, has a long and solid clinical history. This oil’s liposomes bring the power of intravenous therapy into convenient oral delivery.

Q. Tell me about phospholipid therapy?
Liposomal hemp extracts may be even more bioavailable, as the type of fat that the hemp extract would be surrounded by can enable easy, efficient absorption. Sublingual CBD and CBD-rich hemp bypasses many obstacles between the cannabinoids and their intended destination. Many other liposomal CBD oils on the market use low grades of phospholipids, which breakdown and do not deliver compounds effectively.
The high-phosphatidylcholine phospholipid mixes in PMB Hemp Oil are smaller, more stable, and tightly distributed, single-layer spheres. The vesicles are small enough to begin absorption as soon as they hit your mouth. The PMB NanoEnhanced Hemp oil delivers 12 Mg Phytocannabinoid Diols in each dose (four measured pumps). Out of this, approximately 11.2-11.5 Mg of CBD is absorbed, giving you 93-95% CBD absorption. It is important to understand that the increase of effectiveness comes into play because of the NanoEnhancement. Therefore, one dose of our NanoEnhanced Hemp Oil has the same “effect” as between 3-10x the amount of other leading brands. Another way of looking at this is that to get the same amount of CBD into the system, you would have to take between 36-120 mg. CBD in another product.

Unilamellar (single bilayer) lipid membranes composed of purified natural phospholipids sourced from sunflower form the exterior of the liposomal particles The phospholipids fuse with the cell membranes, facilitating efficient intracellular delivery and additionally supporting cellular membrane function and signaling throughout the body. It is this proprietary system that combines the bioavailability to the bloodstream and absorbability into the cells that makes this product superior.

Q. Why is the liposomal delivery process of the PMB Hemp Oil unique?
PMB Nanoenhanced Hemp Oil has a unique delivery system. The Vitamin E TPGS in this product is made exclusively from natural vitamin E, derived from sunflower oil. Unlike other vegetable sources of vitamin E such as soy (which is what many of the other leading brand CBD oils are made from), which require processing to remove genetically modified proteins; vitamin E sourced from sunflowers is naturally non-GMO.
Vitamin E TPGS in this nanoenhanced hemp oil is for people who prefer a non-GMO source that is inherently water-soluble. It also retains all the expected functional properties that make it useful as an emulsifier as well as a solubilizer, and absorption enhancer of poorly soluble, lipophilic compounds while providing the added benefit of being naturally free of genetically modified proteins.
TPGS is vitamin E coupled to a PEG 1000. PEG’s as a family are synthetic polymers made from ethylene oxide. They vary greatly in purity and safety and, accordingly, vary with cost.  TPGS is the most expensive of the PEG sources due to its purity and non-toxicity.  It was made for cholestatic children and those children have been administered up to 500-fold the level used in one dose of this product.
The safety profile of this ingredient is immaculate and as such was given the lowest possible toxicity rating by the Environmental Working Group. The EFSA (European Food Safety Association) analysis of TPGS documents the purity and the biocompatibility of this compound.
It is a neutral ingredient nutritionally and energetically, but it helps elevate the lipid particles to their highest level. This is understood and accepted by both functional medicine practitioners and integrative medicine practitioners. Though the word PEG is an easy target for “natural medicine” people to get worried about, some of the most serious energy-medicine-rich practitioners rave about this oil.

Practitioners using Autonomic Response Testing (Klinghardt school including Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt) or Matrix Response Testing (Dr. Louisa Williams) or Zyto (including Lee Cowden himself) find this oil exceptionally biocompatible.
Q. Why is PMB Hemp extract a good liposome?
Efficient Delivery: Liposomes are microscopic single-to multi-layer spheres made of phospholipids — the basic building blocks of cell membranes. This company engineers these phospholipids to encapsulate compounds, to bypass the digestive processes that normally degrades or limits compound absorption.
Superior Chemistry: In addition to exceptional absorption rates, nano spheres like the ones produced by Prime My Body, have demonstrated the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, deposit their cargo intracellularly and enhance lymphatic circulation of nutrients.
Particle Size: Most nutraceutical manufacturers typically use cheap shear methods resulting in large particles (200–600nm) that absorb poorly. Most of our particle systems fall in the same 50–100nm range that pharmaceutical companies target.
Smart Ingredients: The phospholipids that compose the liposome shell feed the cell membranes. This ensures the proper function for the absorption of nutrients and the excretion of cellular waste products and toxins.

Q. What is the ingredient list of PMB Hemp Oil?

The ethanol in the ingredients is sugar cane source that is GMO-free which stands by the company’s #HeckNoGMO. The ethanol maintains solubility of the oil and its components. It is a very low concentration and one would have to consume 2.5 bottles of this oil to equal the concentration found in approximately one glass of wine. The use of ethanol is the standard for tinctures and the vast majority of them use high concentrations for their products. This one is relatively minimal, by design. There is some glycerine, but the expert on staff gives them to his Type 1 diabetic son and there is no effect on his blood sugar. In terms of the “Nano” in Nano Enhancement, this refers to the process of reducing size of particles. Our formulating process breaks down the particles to size that can be classified as a nano particle.
Q. What is the difference between CBD from hemp, and CBD from medical marijuana?
There are two sources of Cannabidiol/CBD products:
1.)  Hemp CBD products made from industrial hemp, and
2.) Medical marijuana CBD products derived from medical marijuana (a Schedule 1 Drug).

The first (not a Schedule 1) is available to people in all fifty states, and the other is available at medical marijuana dispensaries in the US in states where medical marijuana is legal.

Q. Is this product legal?
Industrial Hemp is not a Schedule 1 drug like marijuana. This product is legal in all fifty states as it is sourced from an organic, non-GMO heirloom strain of Industrial Hemp that is cultivated in Spain and Switzerland (outside of the US, which made hemp products available here following the 2014 Farm Bill). CBD rich Hemp Oil derived from the industrial or commercial hemp plant, is a great legal alternative for those living in non-medical marijuana states that would like to try CBD oil, or for people seeking highly concentrated sources of Cannabidiol as a supplement. Because this oil is made from imported industrial hemp (from Europe) specifically cultivated for consumer use, it complies with federal regulation for distribution in the US and abroad. This hemp oil is about 10 x’s below the federal limit of 0.3% THC at 0.02 to 0.03% concentration. Yet, because of this oil’s incredible bioavailability, the 0.02 t0 0.03% is testing as a perfect synergistic balance to the efficacy of the product as a whole.
Q. Will I fail a drug test?
Although the level of THC is minimal and way below the legal limit in this product, and we have yet to hear of a positive drug test, everyone’s body is different and there is still a small possibility that a drug test will come back positive. I recommend speaking to the employer about taking this supplement prior to starting this regimen.

Q. Are there any contraindications with prescription medications?

Despite its molecular similarity to THC, CBD only interacts with cannabinoid receptors weakly at very high doses (100 times that of THC), and the alterations in thinking and perception caused by THC are not observed with CBD. The different pharmacological properties of CBD give it a different safety profile from THC.

A review of 25 studies on the safety and efficacy of CBD did not identify significant side effects across a wide range of dosages, including acute and chronic dose regimens, using various modes of administration. CBD is present in nabiximols which, as noted earlier, is approved throughout most of Europe and in other countries. Because of this, there is extensive information available with regard to its metabolism, toxicology, and safety. However, additional safety testing among specific patient populations may be warranted should an application be made to the Food and Drug Administration.

As we do not make medical claims or medical advice, we always recommend you consult your Doctor before starting any dietary supplement program.

Q: Does hemp oil cure?
Please be careful of companies that make medical claims. Our company is in good standing with the FTC and regulatory agencies, and we do not diagnose or make medical claims, nor do we claim to heal or cure. We are a dietary supplement, and all persons under the care of a physician should act accordingly and inform their primary care provider before starting any supplement program.
